Description

We are currently working alongside a very successful family business in Lancaster who are looking for a Finance Assistant to work within their busy finance department. The business is a well-recognised brand and has a strong presence across the North West, due to workload they now need to recruit in this newly created position. 

 Duties as Finance Assistant will include: - 

  • Manage the purchase ledger invoicing process, across multiple sites and resolve any associated queries that arise. 
  • Prepare supplier statement payment runs and monitor timeframes. 
  • Post month end accruals/prepayments  
  • Manage the sales ledger processing and reconciliations of income. 
  • Responsible for reconciliation of the nominal ledger at month end as well report the company credit cards/expenses. 
  • Manage the petty cash and bank posting across the business daily. 
  • Responsible for the credit control processes and maintaining a tight collection schedule.  

The successful candidate will have a good background across most areas of the transactional processing, preferably within an SME business, as well as confident in dealing with customers and payment queries.
