We are currently with a well-established business financial services business based in Huyton, who are looking to recruit a Financial Controller who can support the future growth and integration of new business.  

The business is privately owned with an entrepreneurial feel so you need to be a consummate professional who can work with internal and external parties diligently. You will be a critical part of the next few years growth and will provide a more consolidated monthly reporting pack to support the forecasting of the future of the business.  

Duties as Financial Controller will include: 

  • Establish a structured month end management accounts pack and associated commentary for the Directors. 
  • Manage all the ledger processing and associated general ledger reconciliations. 
  • Monitor the cashflow and daily banking as well as all banking transactions. 
  • Work closely with customers and manage an efficient payment process. 
  • Provide budgeting across the business regarding the internal budgetary controls and manage expenses.  
  • Develop the financial forecasting of the business and cashflow management to continue future growth. 
  • Manage the invoice factoring process and associated timeframes.  
  • Develop the current collection processes and controls, working closely with peers to understand accountability of process. 
  • Demonstrate a strong flair for compliance and financial reporting in a highly regulated environment. 
  • Main point of contact for all external relationships including the bank, audit partners as well as Directors.

We are looking for a candidate who is confident in the monthly processes around reporting and understands the needs of an owner managed business. You may be fully ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, preferably with an understanding of the FCA regulations and associated compliance however we would also consider strong candidates who have successfully assisted growth for an SME business.
