We’re working with a well-established, growing business in the Burnley area that operates in a fast-paced, heavy industry environment and is expanding across multiple sites. With a strong, experienced team in place, they are looking for a NEBOSH-certified Health & Safety/Quality Manager to build on their solid foundations and support their ongoing success.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Health & Safety/Quality Manager to join a growing business with a skilled and supportive team. As part of a well-established company, your expertise will have a real impact. Experience communicating with the Environment Agency would be a valuable advantage.
What you’ll do:
- Oversee health and safety across all areas of the site(s) addressing any concerns quickly
- Develop safe working procedures and implement new risk assessments
- Regularly review and update existing risk assessments and safe working procedures
- Ensure all loads meet customer and site environmental permit requirements
- Oversee accident/incident reporting and investigations, coordinating with the Group Compliance Manager on training needs
- Complete all required permit reporting for site activities
- Ensure the site adheres to environmental permits, health and safety standards, ISO 9001 and other organisational requirements
- Handle any other HSQE-related needs for the business
