Description

We are currently recruiting for a small community-based organisation in Ormskirk who are looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join them and support the better reporting of the accounts and organisational finances. They have seen an increase in the needs of their services and therefore need a better understanding around their reporting.

 

The role involves: -

  • Day to day management of the ledgers including all posting and matching of invoices
  • Work closely with suppliers in obtaining best cost value
  • Monitor the internal expenses of the staff and volunteers including mileage/refreshments
  • Manage the banking facility and cash position of the organisation
  • Provide cashflow forecasting and budget controls
  • Produce the quarterly management accounts and work closely with the Board
  • Main point of contact for internal and external parties for finance
  • Accruals/Prepayments
  • Monitor the profit and loss on a regular basis to access the accurate spending of funds

 

The successful candidate will be fully experienced in producing monthly financials for small business’ or ideally a not-for-profit organisation, you will be approachable and supportive with your peers. The individual needs to have the highest level of integrity and be confident in monitoring the cash position and on-going performance of the funds/grants provided.

 

This is a part time role up for about 30 hrs a week, ideally spread over 5 days and would suit someone who wants to work autonomously in their role. Ideally you would be AAT qualified and also have working knowledge of cloud software and Excel.
