We are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant we can invest in.
We are working with a long-standing manufacturing business based in Burnley who are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their current team in this newly created position. The business has grown over recent years and has seen an increase in investment in both the site and its staff.
As a business they are now looking for a Finance Assistant to join them and support the month production of the management accounts and smooth running of the transactional side of the reporting. The role will offer the candidate the chance to be supported by an exceptional mentor while they study, but also the chance to develop their technical reporting side and progress up to the role of Management Accountant.
The role will involve the following responsibilities: -
- Supervise the reporting of the purchase ledger and manage associated queries with a quick turnaround.
- Maintain supplier statements including reconciliations and always ensure tight controls and accuracy of payments.
- Maintain the daily and weekly cashbook and cash payments.
- Assist with the company payroll processing, manage expenses and credit card payments.
- Support the reporting of the labour, operational variances and performance.
- Assist with the fixed asset reporting, including additions and updates.
As a candidate you will already be able to demonstrate the following attributes: -
- At least 3 years’ experience within a UK based finance team
- Understanding of all the aspects of the transactional reporting
- Strong knowledge of Excel, and confidence with reporting systems
- Willingness to learn, be part of a team and committed to developing their learning.
