We are working alongside a privately owned SME business who are looking for their first ‘in-house’ Company Accountant who can join and help them develop true reporting pack and better financial reporting systems across the business.
The role will allow someone to take ownership and have full autonomy within the role so that you can develop a structured monthly reporting pack, and in time perhaps a team!
The business is still growing and operates across two sites but the role will be based primarily in Blackburn with hybrid option alongside great benefits package.
Your duties as Company Accountant will include: -
- Manage the full budget expenditure process, including the annual budget setting and as well as overall performance of the business.
- Establish the monthly management reporting cycle ensuring all transactions are accurate and accountable.
- Produce meaningful commentary, for the senior leadership team.
- Closely monitor the cashflow and on-going daily forecasting process, as well as monitor the business bank.
- Responsible for the processing of the payroll across the business and associated bonuses/dividend payments.
- Provide a structured credit control process and collection timeframes, building relationships with internal and external parties.
- Provide a support for the costing side of the business, ensuring margin control and gross profit is managed.
- Manage the fixed asset register including all depreciations and values, as well as full CAPEX reporting across the business.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in producing monthly reporting and ideally working within an owner managed business, supporting the business not only within finance but other elements of a small business.
