If so, our client has the perfect role for you.
They’re a manufacturing business based in Chorley and have a long-standing and stable client base across Europe. Due to increased trade and growth plans over the next few years they now need to recruit an experienced and structured Credit Controller.
Unlike other roles you may have had, there is a level of complexity to some of the invoicing queries you’ll have to unravel in this position, the accounts have a variety of payment schedules. As a result, you’ll need patience and persistence to follow them through to a conclusion.
Typically, your role will include:
- Chasing outstanding in a timely manner to offer structure and consistency on the ledger.
- Develop solid collection relationships with internal parties and external customers.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and cashflow forecast, monitor the banking positions across multiple bank accounts.
- Produce an accurate aged debt report for the SLT and sales teams on a weekly basis.
- Understand collection methods across multi currencies.
- Providing recommendations for accounts to be placed on stop due to payment arrears.
- Establish a transparent and effective collection structure on a large ledger, working towards a reduction in collection timeframes.
Our client would like to see a good level of experience working within a credit control position, where you have had full autonomy and proven success of collections. In addition, you’ll need to be competent with Microsoft Office applications and, ideally have used an integrated ERP package.
As a core part of this position requires you to build relationships and rapport with customers both within the UK and overseas, therefore you must also be a confident and clear communicator.
