Job Opportunity: Management Accountant – FMCG – Large and Growing Business

 

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Management Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. As a key contributor within our large, multi-site organisation, you will provide high-quality financial insight that directly supports strategic decision-making and drives business performance.

 

Key Responsibilities for Management Accountant

  • Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts, and variance analysis
  • Support budgeting processes and long-term financial planning
  • Provide accuracy around freight and import costings, including VAT, Tax and monitoring of deliveries
  • Maintain all the fixed asset amendments and compliance
  • Responsible for intercompany reconciliations across different entities
  • Analyse financial performance, identifying risks, opportunities, and efficiency improvements
  • Monitor all stock movements, from materials through to finished goods and provide accurate stock values.
  • Analyse manufacturing costs and margins, demonstrating control of variances and adding value if necessary
  • Ensure strong financial controls and compliance with internal and external standards
  • Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting processes and reduce costs

 

Favourable Attributes

  • Preferrable fully qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent) or PQ will be consider
  • Proven experience in a management accounting or similar analytical finance role
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business
  • Highly organised, proactive, and confident working in a fast-paced, large-scale environment
  • Commercially aware with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to mentor junior members of staff and lead by example

Ideally with are looking for fully qualified candidates within the profession (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) but we will also consider candidates who are looking to qualify within the next 12 months if they have the correct level of manufacturing experience.
