Description

We are currently working closely with a large privately owned business based in the heart of Lancashire, who are looking to recruit a Finance Director, and lead on all financial decisions and commercial controls. The business is very successful and has a fantastic order book and future growth objectives, so this is a great time to join as they continue to flourish.

The business has a strong reporting focus on commercial and operational reporting and project projections, and financial management is key to its success. It is important you are comfortable in getting into the performance of how they operate.

Key responsibilities for the Finance Director: -

  • Fully responsible for the management reporting pack with detailed commentary and all the statutory reporting and compliance (VAT/TAX/HMRC)
  • Prepare and execute the 3-5 year financial budgets and subsequent forecasts across all departments involved, including revenue and expenditure in line with the projections
  • Continually re-forecast weekly and ‘get under the skin’ of the commercial costings and performance
  • Monitor the cost base, sales price and product variances on a regular basis continually reviewing gross profit and completion timeframes
  • Responsible for the reporting of Tax, including R&D and other tax relief claims
  • Manage the company payroll process including monthly commissions, statutory claims, CIS calculations
  • Improve the processes and controls of the financial management systems across the business
  • Provide reporting across the subsidiaries and associated reporting entities within the Group working closely with the managing director
  • Manage the internal finance team and support the growth of individual performance
  • Work closely with the sales/marketing, analysing sales performance and related profit margins

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to be part of a growing and successful organisation working directly with the MD and other key stakeholders. The leadership team are well established, and they are looking for someone to come in and make their mark to support the continued growth and commercial opportunities.

This role would suit someone who is looking to be a part of something which has autonomy over time, but also where you can get involved right across the organisation with sales, commercial and operations, working towards becoming an influential lead in the business. In return there is an attractive renumeration package which offers competitive bonus, and lots of other benefits.

*The role is fully office based and does not offer hybrid working*

If you are interested in this role or wish to have a confidential discussion, then please apply to Rachel Mitson at Rebus Recruitment immediately.
