Description
We are working alongside a well-established organisation based in Burnley who are currently going through a rapid period of growth and require an experienced Management Accountant/Finance Manager to join the business ibn this newly created role.
The role will give someone the opportunity to structure the department and improve all the financial reporting that is produced at month end. The business has an established management accounts pack, but it needs further transparency and deeper dive into the profitability and cost management across the business.
Duties as Management Accountant will include: -
- Manage the full reporting of the monthly management accountants and produce a more detailed and meaningful board pack for review.
- Manage the timely and accurate reporting with HMRC/VAT and Tax compliances.
- Continually review the on-going forecasting position to SMT, with explanation around variances.
- Establish a deeper understanding of the market knowledge around product, customer and channel mix.
- Review and track cashflows and internal budgets for expenditure.
- Accruals/prepayments
- Monitor the bank position and daily cashflow reporting.
- Manage the credit control and payment schedule, monitor customer contracts and risk at point of sale.
The successful candidate will be fully responsible for the improving the efficiencies/reporting of the financials; therefore, we are looking for a confident individual who has some experience of working with financial and non-financial personnel who can add value in the management of commercial information.
