Description

We are working with a well-established manufacturing business based just on the outskirts of Burnley, who are currently looking to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to join them in this newly created role.

The business has a strong history of staff retention; due to a recent re-structure they are now looking to bolster the finance team with a knowledgeable Management Accountant.

They are well-established within their field and sector, providing products for customers across the UK and Europe. As a company they are looking to continue their organic growth and this role is pivotal in providing the reporting support and commercial information for decision making.

As Management Accountant your duties will include: -

  • Responsible for producing the monthly management accounts and supporting commentary ready for review.
  • Establish an effective KPI reporting suite covering (but not exclusive too), stock movements, customer sales and data, as well as commercial analysis.
  • Manage the fixed asset register, including all depreciation and values.
  • Monitor the stock reporting variances, movements, and dispatch to ensure efficiencies.
  • Supervise the transactional team, and the reconciliations of the nominal ledger as well as monitor closely the numerous company bank accounts (sterling/euro/dollar).
  • Assist with the weekly and monthly budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Monitor the cashflow and payment schedules across multiple bank accounts.

The successful candidate will be joining a growing business who have thrived over the last few years; therefore, they require someone who add value to the current efficiencies and processes with the financial reporting. You will be able to demonstrate strong understanding of transactional reporting and assist with the monthly reporting cycle, supporting the growth in accountability of financial reporting across departments.

If you are currently studying towards CIMA or ACCA and consider yourself part qualified then that would be a bonus, although not essential, but manufacturing/engineering experience is favourable.

Only those applicants who have legal right to work in the UK and possess a suitable amount of UK based finance experience will be considered, candidates already registered will be considered automatically.
